Just so you understand.

WoW was one of the first main stream games to introduce barber shops. They can't very well go back and turn it into a paid item while they still have a sub fee. They also do other predatory shit like selling in game gold and tuning in game systems to require more gold than they ever have (helloooo respecs). They have in fact taken plenty away from their paying customers in an attempt to make that wow token look more juicy. They've also done away with tier sets, their gear these days looks like a 4 year old could have come up with it. Yet they always seem to have the time to release a brand new fancy cash shop mount or pet. Not to mention the scummy shit they did with bribing people into 6 month subs with a mount because they knew their numbers would have been even worse otherwise.

The real problem here is unmitigated greed facilitated by a corporate culture that gives 0 fucks about the quality of the product they're selling. They care more about what they can get away with while still making money. And they'll use every scummy tactic they can.
