Are any other Conservative Calgarians becoming more left-leaning Lately?

I moved to BC from Alberta when I was younger and was very ashamed at some of the thoughts and opinions that I had compared to my new peers, and I didn't grow up in a very conservative home at all. BC and my more liberal friend group and acquaintances (and travelling to other countries) gave me experiences and perspective away from where I grew up and it changed the way I think about the world and about politics.

Our political leanings are very informed by our environment and the people we associate with. As we go through life, we are exposed to different experiences and people, and that informs the way we think and what our overall opinions are. It's growth as a human. It isn't wrong to change your opinions at all.

I have now moved back to Alberta and am interested to see any opinion changes in this new chapter of life. I certainly hope that this trend of equating everything to politics dies soon. You can hope for policies that benefit business and still want to have policies and programs that protect the less fortunate, promote equality, and help people succeed. That isn't political, it's being a compassionate person.
