Are Cops All Bastards? One Furry finds a hill to die on in Furry_irl

Yeah, I'm not saying it's not OK to be frustrated with the system. But generalization at people pisses me off.

Every time someone makes a sexist joke, or a racist joke, or a joke targeted at low income people and says something like "I'm not frustrated with you personally, I'm just frustrated with the system!", it feels incredibly hollow.

I've literally had people tell me to my face that I'm garbage for being born a man, and then someone else would swoop in, saying "well, it's not YOU they're mad at, it's the system! They're not mad at you specifically, they're mad at all the men!" and I'm just here thinking how much I hated being me.

I've also had customers at work tell me that me and my company were trash, and that I was horrible.

My managers justified it, saying that I was the problem because I didn't suck up to the customer enough after they yelled at me and swore at me.

So... You know. Different experiences and all.
