Are cops really that bad in US as shown in internet.?

I’ve had bad encounters with strangers all over the US. Drunk people picking fights.. a random dude in Texas sucker punching me before jumping in a pickup that peeled off. getting in between a kid and a mentally unwell homeless person who was fixated on them. Mentally unwell dude screaming in my face on the subway lol

But the only time I ever thought I might die was when a cop pulled me over for a right on red in rural PA. Their voice was shaking with anger and they had there hand on their unclipped gun the whole time. His hands were shaking too and he kept asking things like how fast was i going (maybe 30?). Did I see the no right on red sign? (I did not). But nothing to to indicate why they were so enraged. They also sat in there car for over 30 minutes with my license and insurance. Then they stood outside my door staring with their hand on their gun. I was 18 years old on a POS car driving home in the middle of the night. I couldn’t imagine how this cop treated other people. Also had friendly enough encounters with cops all over too. It’s a few bad apples that seems to grow to a bunch of bad apples depending on the area
