Are dividend stocks really worth it?

I think yes, BUT ONLY if you pick the right company. A company which is reliable on only dividends isn’t that good of a stock. If their plans to grow/develop as a company aren’t that good and their EPS is lower or too little to their dividend then I would NOT pick that stock. Of course these so called ”dividend stocks/companies” aren’t growing that much compared to a growth company, but they are getting more and more investors because of people RELY on these companies. Again not all of these companies are reliable, whether it’s because of a dying sector or a business plan. With dividend stocks I’m always looking at companies which are market leaders and are proven that they can up their dividends or at LEAST pay it with no BIG issues. They are a safer-ish investment than growth stocks (at least in the long term), since new growth companies come and go. In my humble opinion the key factors are that you should find a estbalished/proven company without big risks, since you want that the company pays a CONSISTANT and a GROWING dividend.
