I only get headaches when I eat lactose. It literally alters my mood, makes my tongue swell up, makes my right eyelid droop over my eye, and makes me blackout a little. I used to eat cream or milk or cheese with every meal and I'd black out 30 times a day. Just little pauses when I was walking around or at red lights.
I had two brain and spine MRIs, two colonoscopies, the epilepsy batteries, blood tests for MS, and everything else. It's definitely lactose. I can turn it on and off like a light switch. I haven't had an episode (except when I eat cheese) for two years now.
My question is: Is there any pub-med data on extreme lactose intolerance causing headaches? Can it be caused by an inflammation of small blood vessels or something?
Cheers.
