We are getting closer to the end-game (Self-segregation has begun)

This is entirely incorrect.

Otherkin run the gamut of just new age religious people to full blown psychos. Otherkin have their Bridezilla crazies, but most of them keep to themselves. Yes, furries generally think they're crazy, but they're not excluded from going to cons or local meetups. Some Otherkin feel persecuted, but Furries know Drama. It's what we run on. TNT doesn't have shit on us for making mountains out of molehills and then quickly forgetting about petty differences before moving on to a new one. An argument on a messageboard usually means nothing in the grand scheme of thing.

Yes CSI hurt us, and MSM wants to make fun of us for ratings. People are told not to talk to them, and the media is generally not allowed in any furry conventions unless priorly vetted. That said though there are a lot of News media furries get along with quite well. (Local News Stations tend to be open and friendly to local conventions, but your results may vary.)

Going on the news is not going to get you blackballed from anything. If you go on there and play they "We're all pedophiles in mascot uniforms" you're not going to make any friends and probably get dirty looks, but the people who have been banned from conventions generally went far beyond that.

There's also a strong correlation with people who will go on TV to talk about being a furry and low self esteem drama creating attention starved individuals (Who would have thought?) so going on TV to make us all look terrible is just another footnote on a long list of being an asshole to the fandom grievances, not the one and only reason.

That said though, the Furry Fandom does not have SJW ruining everything for us. There has been no schism like in Atheism, and the only thing close to any of that are your normal drama llamas who bitch on tumblr for the attention of it.
