You are given $1,000,000 if you can live homeless for a year. How do you succeed?

I sell everything and buy a tent and a one way plane ticket to Hawaii, or another temperate tropical costal region or island where the outdoors are comfortable. There'd be fines, so if I have enough to survive the year I'd drop it on a McDonalds gift card and put a few in a prepaid safety deposit box, to render it unreachable... or a mailbox and just mail the gift cards to myself. This gives me recourse if something of mine gets stolen, reliable food, and a comfortable environment. Don't forget one or two wal-mart gift cards for replacement clothes, tents, and other necessities.

A homeless man was attacked for cash and his cash stolen... which is the weakness of the plan, so you still have to be careful.
