You are given 10 billion dollars to create a game show. It can involve anything including illegal things and death if you so desire. What is your game show?

Ultimate Robot Wars: This is a more lengthy game concept, perhaps over decades, at least years.

The game is set on an uninhabited island with a size of about 10 square kilometers. Two flags are placed on opposite sides of the island 25-50 meters from the beach. Two teams of 50-100 highly accomplished robot techs are hired. They get about 3-4 billion dollars to build their army. The teams start from scratch and must acquire production facilities and testing grounds on their own. The winner is the team who can capture the opposite teams flag and bring it back to its flag.

Rules:

  1. One year after game start the first delivery is allowed one year after start up. All gear must fit on one vessel, but the vessel size is not limited. Additional deliveries may be done after the initial 24 hour truce, but are limited to a 250 meter radius of the initial location of the flag.
  2. The first 24 hours after landing is under forced truce. No equipment, projectiles or similar may cross a 250 meter radius of each teams flag.
  3. The teams each get about 3-4 billions in funding, witch they may spend as they see fitted. The remaining money is used to acquire the island and production of the tv-show (filming).
  4. There may be no war from or to sea. All fighting must be on land.
  5. No flying. Short bursts of no ground contact is allowed (ie running), but is limited to a maximum height of 15 meters, counting from the highest point of the robot to ground level. This also means that no robot may exceed a height of 15 meters at any time. Airborne time may not exceed three seconds.
  6. All equipment must pass through the robot production facility and must be tested on the testing grounds for a minimum of 24 hours before being allowed to deploy. Sub assemblies are allowed, but no single robot may have less than 10 parts. All final assembly must be done at the team HQ, but may be performed by robots.
  7. No humans are allowed withing a 5 km radius of the island.

The first year then focuses on the actual production of the weaponry, building, designing, testing and so on. Then there is a 24 hour special featuring the deployment.

The rest of the show is filmed using drones capturing the fighting. The show is sent in real time 24 hours a day, mostly focusing on the fighting but with cuts back to the head quarters of the teams, where they discuss further reinforcements, development of the war and so on. The show is presented as a 24 hour "news channel" with one or more presenters in a studio commenting and discussing the development.

The show is presented on several channels, where you can choose to follow a single drone, or watch the robot factories.
