Well I don't know much about sub-Saharan africa achievements not much to speak of lol but will say that subsaharan culture has influenced alot of the modern culture including Samba, Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, Rock & Roll, metal, Salsa, Reggae and Rap music maybe even electronic music. They were the catalyst for modern art. They make some of the best food I've ever tasted sadly the same can't be said of the mayans :C
