I am not one to defend capitalism, nor did I intend to bring about such an ideological altercation. China and India's accomplishments are not "hard to digest" for me, I congratulate both nations of what they have achieved.

Yes you are correct, the west has done many many terrible things to the environment and has hurt many lives across the world. I am not debating nor ignoring that fact.
