‘We are making a difference’: Notley on NDP’s past year and 2016 plans

People fail to realize the effects of the world economy on Canada, so they resort to immediately blaming whatever Canadian party who is in power for their economic instability. With the crash of Oil Prices and Chinese stock market, the entire world is running a relatively large deficit, but uneducated people who decide that they are "politically informed" because they saw a few campaigning commercials during the elections think, "CANADA IS TO BLAME FOR OUR PROBLEMS, I WANT CHANGE RIGHT NOW". When in reality the Conservatives are one of the most ideal parties to keep our spending low and Canada/Alberta afloat. High schools aren't teaching nearly enough about Canadian and Albertan parties or world economics. To add to that, many of the teachers are incredibly biased and essentially promote anti-conservative views and promote NDP and Liberal because it's a system where they get payed more. This is the same case with NDP, sure they're doing a bad job, but they're not to blame for the crash of oil prices or the fact that we're running a deficit. They are spending way too much but we'd still be running deficit regardless of the party in power, but people are too lazy to do actual research on Albertan politics by finding the least biased sources which provide raw data and statistics as opposed to fucking buzz feed articles. Everyone thinks they're politically informed nowadays, consisting of PC movement Liberals, Overly redneck Conservatives, and Lazy NDP supporters who want to make more without working harder. Voting shouldn't be a human right, it should be earned, tests and lessons should be put in place so only people who truly understand politics can vote so we don't end up with crowds of idiots (Looking at you rednecks, making all conservatives look like we're a bunch of violent, uneducated morons).
