I think the argument about female characters being better than male characters is flawed, and conveniently forget about some female characters that are not broken at all. People often watch at potential DPS and nothing else, but a character’s strength comprehend much more than that (it includes also things as AoE damage capabilities, ranged capabilities, ease of usage, etc).

Hu Tao, which is often considered a top tier DPS, loses a lot of effectiveness against multiple enemies and can drop by a couple of tiers against them, she is strictly melee, she sacrifices HP. It is simply right that a character like Hu Tao has higher DPS than a character like Wanderer (that has constant AoE damage, constant ranged damage with homing attacks, easy access to grouping through team mates, is compatible with team mates of the 4 swirlable elements, etc).
