Why are so many french Canadians so obnoxious?

Oh thank you for this post. I was wondering if it was just me. I was trying to help some French Canadians with a business transaction that was started through email. I gave them what they asked for and when I called them to talk over details they wanted to argue about something they had to pay up front for. First they complained that they didn’t know they had to pay up front. I told them this was the first conversation we were able to have about it so I am informing them at this time. They proceeded to act like if they argued enough about their principles that they would not have to pay. I told them it was a policy explained it several times. They wanted a manager and after a brief hold I came back and said the manager said it’s a policy that can’t be changed. More arguing until I straight up said if you want it pay for it, if you don’t pay for it I will remove it from the invoice. I told them I would not argue further with them and then put them on the spot asking what is the issue? You saw the price, so is it that you don’t want to pay for it? Oh no that wasn’t the problem. The problem was just that they didn’t know they had to pay up front. So does this make a difference? No it doesn’t because the price is still what they expected. They hesitantly paid for the service after giving me a pretty stressful time about it. My heart was racing and I got knots in my shoulders. I had to drink a shot to calm down after that very unpleasant experience. They were speaking back and forth to each other in French cutting me off and talking over me. It was so incredibly rude. I wonder if in general Canadians think that Americans are ripping them off. That’s the vibe I got.
