Why are we more often than not viewed or spoken about as “broken”?

There are days i feel empowered and more often than not — I’m frustrated with it. I just came out of a relationship where I felt the other person made it out like there was something wrong with me — i guess the correct word here is my VALUE as a person decreased — and I needed to be “better”. So I was looking for some support in that from this subreddit but my post was poorly phrased at the end.

Strive to be compassionate to yourself. Strive to take one more breath after another. Strive to rest. Strive to let yourself be angry.

I hope this might make some things better, and im sorry if it makes things worse, but worth a try: a little help
