Are the new MCU shows essential to the new movies?

Loki you don’t really need to watch if you don’t watch and even a majority of Loki fans hate it (on Twitter at least). Same goes for What If even tho that’s loved but not talked about as much even tho it’s multiverse canon but you don’t need to if you’re not big into the multiverse and/or animation. You can watch the Loki Season 1 recap here:, it’s a YouTube link don’t worry.

I’m not sure if you’ve watched Falcon and the Winter Soldier but that’s pretty awesome and is more loved than has mixed opinions.

You don’t need to watch anything before the Eternals, they’re an entirely new and different group of characters. Well you should watch Infinity War and Endgame, since all they really mention is Thanos wiping away the universe and they mention other Avengers throughout but nothing too spoilery.

As for No Way Home, you can really watch the other Spider-Man movies (Andrew and Tobey movies) to remember the villains. And just watch Far From Home, since No Way Home instantly follows up right after the post credit scene.

Hawkeye I’m not sure is skippable. A lot of people consider it their favorite MCU show, some compare it’s greatness to WandaVision. It also sets up new characters like the new Hawkeye (Kate), Echo’s story and a fan favorite returning villain. I think you may like it, it’s really grounded and there’s never a slow pacing moment.
