Are NON-SHIPS Canon?

well, "adoptive admissions" are a thing. Maybe a reasonable game developer would clarify if they meant for it to be either romantic or platonic given that they know how popular fanships are, so not writing it explicitly means they intend it to be open.

In any case, if we accept as true that only what devs directly put in there is a canon ship, the inverse should be true. If there is no supports, then there canonically is no relationship and, in situations where they can be in a party but not build supports, no possibility of one. Thus a bunch of popular ships would be nullified and consigned to the realm of purgatorio, headcanon, and wishful thinking. That seems like a natural consequence of a black and white view. In order to have the pure sanctity of what is Canon we have to be realistic about what the inverse, or the "anti canon" is.
