why are non-South Asian Muslims less strict about dabiha/zabiha halal?

I was talking to a friend about this a couple days ago because I noticed that south Asians are super strict about zabihah and I never knew why

For me, I just don’t eat pork. I’ll eat from fast food from time to time and when I go to the store to get bacon I obviously get turkey bacon. Too me, I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong. I’m avoiding pork, gelatin etc.

Like the other user said, I guess it’s just all about emphasis but I’ve talked to a couple of sheikhs and they say that it’s ok to do that as long as you’re avoiding pork. It’s still considered halal because i live in a Christian country (USA). Either way, just respect each other and don’t look down on someone either way.
