Why are you people so bothered by this issue?

"why care about a quality of life issue" - err... Because I don't want a shitty life?

Also: Climate refugees, heat death toll which increases every summer, extreme weather which starts to disrupt major population centres, perminant state of emergency, last ditch technologies which don't eventuate, curfews for power usage, food shortages, strict moderation of food and luxury items, an increase in disease, totalitarianism, a general failure of infrastructure, rebel gangs who live together, a drop in life expectancy, an increase in suicides and murders to epic proportions, cults, a complete loss of winter, hunting of anything with a pulse, distrust, complete nocturnalism, living underground, no children surviving to adulthood, loss of hair and teeth, blindness, renal failure and finally - the heat death of the planet.

Why wouldn't we want that?

You may think I'm being extremely - but this isn't "just another cycle" as you're claiming. It's an exponential man-made cycle which we're still amping up. Also see methane release in the arctic, and the plummet in insect life:

So why wouldn't I want to live in a disaster movie? Because I'm not a fucking idiot.
