Why are people racist, and how did that even start??

Racism came from European imperialism, how is it an American concept? I should know, my country practically invented it.

And racism in Romania and against Romanians is rife. I'm aware that it would normally be called xenophobia but the thing is if you look white and say you're from Romania, people won't give a shit. If you look like a Romanian gypsy you won't even need to say it. So it's not the Romanian bit that bothers them is it? It's the brown bit. So yeah, it's racism disguised as xenophobia.

European racists couldn't give two tosses where you came from as long as you look white. Which by their standards means pale and with European features. Most middle eastern people don't look European no matter how pale they are.
