Are you perceptive to your surroundings?

I haven't been officially diagnosed but your post really caught my attention because when I was younger all of these things were very true. I often think back to that time and feel like I was just stumbling through life doing my own thing not really caring about my surroundings. I had a thing where I couldnt step on cracks in the road with the same foot twice in a row. I would also have to chew on both sides of my mouth when eating a meal. I'm now in my 20s and don't do any of that. I'm not sure what changed, sometimes I still have that thought like "the next crack in the road you step on has to be with your other foot" but I immediately ignore the thought and move my attention to something else.
