Are you ready for the climate lockdowns - It’s only a matter of time

Not surprising in the least. The media went crazy posting footage of "nature healing" and wildlife "reclaiming their territory". Parks, trails, and outdoor spaces were closed to human use around the world, and people on social media, myself included, got savagely shamed just for taking walks in our neighborhood parks and forest areas. They initially used the excuse that you would overwhelm SAR teams and expose them to the virus. Then, they began saying that the mere presense of humans outdoors is bad for wildlife. Heck, even going out in your own yard was frowned upon by those folks. On Facebook, I had someone say to me "You shouldn't go out in your backyard right now, because you will get in the way of animals trying to nest/raise babies" Taking walks or especially driving to nearby parks were viewed as horrible sins. According to some folks, taking a walk in the woods is trespassing on land that only animals have the right to use, and humans are just the intruders.

Disturbingly, many folks commenting on articles were all for having all outdoor spaces closed for a couple months, to "rest" or a year, or forever, converted to wildlife refuge a where humans are prohibited. Despite all the studies that fresh air and Vitamin D help prevent illness, the shaming continued. At least I don't see the shaming going on as much lately, but if "climate lockdowns" occur, it's probably going to rear it's ugly head again.
