Are we ready for men to take the pill?

I don’t think you understand that those extreme side effects are not what you think they are. They’re referring to literal chemical castration of male patients.

Female birth control does not have this risk. Only an IUD has any potential risk of sterility and even that “risk” requires the woman to ignore significant symptoms like PID over a prolonged period of time.

Make birth control causes sterility by direct action of the drug. Testicles aren’t biologically designed to stop and start. Ovaries stop and start naturally every month. They are effectively a storage bin for eggs that were premade before birth. If you chemically halt the ovaries, you still have your eggs. If you chemically halt the testicles you directly risk permanent castration. That is why the trials were cancelled. Any medication for literally anyone with even a 0.1% risk of chemical castration is utterly unacceptable
