Are sport bikers and cruiser riders still at war? Not around here.

I may be able to shed some light on the subject of waving at passing bikes. Im not getting into a pissing match with internet badasses, so I'll try to explain it as least cocky as I can. Dont read too much into it.

As for Harley riders, many think that once they buy a Harley, they are part of an exclusive "club". Its bullshit.

Its a whole persona that many use to sell bikes. Buying a Harley doesn't make you a tough guy, it makes you a Harley owner. Buying a motorcycle doesn't make you a biker, it makes you a motorcycle owner. It doesn't let you into any club or anything else.

Now I also am in an MC. I am a clubber. I dont wave at everyone on a bike no more than I would wave at everyone in a car while driving. I dont know you unless you are wearing the same patch on your back. Just because you are on two wheels doesn't mean we have anything in common other than being on the same road, still going in different directions.

Only those who have chosen to walk down my path in life are my brothers. Anyone else is just, well someone else. Its tough to explain without actually living it.

I hope that sheds some light on why many HD riders don't wave. That said, even though I've only owned Harleys, I admire all motorcycles. I like them all. I don't judge a man by his choice of rides, I judge a man by his character. Stay safe.
