Are you still excited for "vega"?

I'm waiting to see what iterations of Vega release for this exact reason. I want performance in the 1070-1080 region, but I am not willing to pay the current price for a 1070 ($460 in the UK) or the more expensive 1080. I personally think Vega needs to have at least 1 card that competes in this bracket.

I've had like 5 PMs telling me to go buy a console. Not quite sure why. PC gaming is about choice. Choosing what quality you want, at what framerate, with what peripherals you choose, on the apps of your choice. I would never go back to console gaming now I have a PC. Why would I want to pay £60 per game, be locked into specific peripherals, lose KB+M support, lose access to my 150+ game Steam library, lose mod support and lose access to the better communities? PC gaming is all about choice. I can handle playing certain genres of games under 60fps at higher resolutions/VSR. That's my choice. I would rather bump up eye candy and lose some frames in certain games.

I honestly think that Vega has to have at least 1 card that competes with the 1070 on price and performance. That's the sweet spot for many games like me. And looking at AMD's track record, they know this.
