So are the strikes, adventures, etc. going to just take me back to the same locations over and over again?

I understand that, but will never understand why they limit themselves to 1 zone per planet. When I first read about Destiny I assumed that is would tell the story of Earth fighting back against some enemy that had come to take over our solar system. It would start on Earth, after the enemy invasion was a success, where a resistance would start to form. You fight in multiple areas on Earth, old cities, forests, islands, etc. all while working towards the goal of taking earth back from the enemy. Once Earth was won back or mostly won back you would move on to the moon. That would be the first game, just earth and the moon; then the first expansion could be about taking back Venus, once Venus is won you would turn your sights towards the outer planets. Mars could be the next expansion including the asteroid belt as well, then the expansion after could be the moons of Jupiter and Saturn.

The raids of each expansion could be the final fight for the players to take back the planet they were fighting for. When expansion were released, old zones could be updated with added story. Just because the planet was won back on the large scale doesnt mean there still are problems for players to tackle. It would let the world grow, evolve, and progress along with the story. It would have let the planets seem like planets. Instead in Destiny, Earth is just the EDZ. That's it. This small area is the only area on Earth where any fighting takes place. It's just so boring.
