Are there any men that get IIH?

Every doctor I've met to talk about my IIH says that it mostly affects women of childbearing age who are overweight. The reason I feel that is bs, is because there are also men and children who have this disease, but only a fraction are likely properly diagnosed because of that mindset that it only affects women.

Yes, it is a rare disease. But to say it only affects a specific demographic when there is no actual solid proof--because doctors don't actually fully understand IIH because it's rare and research is not well funded right now--is flawed logic.

If there is one person with this condition, whatever their gender or age, there is a high probability of there being another with the same condition that just hasn't been diagnosed yet.
