I don't drop shows. I watch things through to completion. If you look at my MAL, that's clear. I may put things off but God dammit I will finish it. There is one exception to this and I don't even like acknowledging it's existence.

I fucking LOVED Gunslinger Girl it had some of the best character development I had seend at the time. The art was refreshing and new; and the music. The music was brilliant. There are very few shows I have seen that had the momentum of season 1 of Gunslinger Girl.

Mind you there is some context here. I'm old, I have been watching anime since the days of Macross. I go through phases where I do nothing but watch anime, to years of watching nothing. It was during a return to anime during 2005 just after the first season was released I saw it for the first time. Then I drifted off. I came back late 2014...

When I got back into it (again) late 2014, one of the series I watched was the original season 1 Gun Slinger Girl, and I loved it as much as I did the first time. I had also discovered MAL at the point "Oh shit yo, there is a second season?!?!? Are you fucking kidding me?!?!?!?!?". I was fucking thrilled. I instantly bought that shit on iTunes and sat on the couch to watch it "THIS GONNA BE GOOD"....

Then, then the disappointment, the new art, the j-pop intro song, (I like j-pop, but that's not GS Girl), ..... "it's OK yo, they are just modernizing it, dis shit will be good....", then the plot digression, forget Henrietta, we gonna talk about Triela now (side character from the first season).

I don't know, I don't know what happened. But I have never been so disappointed in a series in my life. It also reminded me of another huge disappointment. What happened to the Alien series. I'll spare you the explanation.

I've seen my fair share of shit show anime, but god damn. I really felt like they took something beautiful and shat all over it.

TL;DR: Fuck season 2 of GS Girl.
