Why are there so many pitbull posts on r/awww?

Propaganda from the pet industry. Ever been to a shelter or heard someone say "adopt, don't shop"? Shelters are full of pits they can't adopt out and they don't stop coming, from normal people who realized their mistake to rescued fighting pits which really should be immediately euthanized. According to this pro pit site 75% of pits are immediately euthanized upon arrival yet they'e still so prevalent in shelters. And the majority of pitbulls aren't spayed or neutered and the females have large litters, guess where those puppies end up. Besides the big pet (again: dog) organizations there's orgs dedicated exclusively to pro pit propaganda. There's a never ending stream of TV shows and social media posts about how great pits are. I don't discount that there's tons of deranged people who think they're doing a good thing by lying about and promoting an aggressive breed but they've also been suckered in by this massive propaganda campaign.

Simply it's all about the $$$ and this massive push for pitbull advocacy is not normal or authentic.
