Yeah they pretty much killed my hype seeing that bethesda sitll havent fixed their core gamedesign problems. Animations and models look very bad for a 2015 game, there is tons of collision problems already in the leaked videos, and in their official videos. It appears that rpg elements are very streamlined, i dont get how taking some perk will make your gun do more damage? how can a bullet deal more damage, do you load the bullet more skillfully or enchant it with some magic? i would understand that some perks could make you more accurate, or make your handling better and lesser the recoil. But dealing damage with bullets is not skill related thing, like aiming or handling the weapon. (somebody explain pls) And making perks like: X will do 20%/40%/60% more something is very boring decision and lacks of imagination. And i dont think that the new dynamic dialogue wheel or voice acting will bring anything good to the game, sure it can be fun when you play the game for the first time, but after that when you try to make a whole different kind of charecter and when it sounds just like the previous one it will break the immersion. I would rather see a textbox(like FO1&2 where there could be some descriptions about the surrounding like how does it smell or is it hot or how do i feel, but its not so relevant when you are in 3d enviroment. It looks and feels too much like bioshock infinite. Thing that bothers me most is the civil war theme and the whole boston, why would anybody give a single fuck about some civil war that has happent before the atomic destruction, or why would anybody care about USA or any other nation or nationality thing after everything is blown to bits and people are tribing up or being held at the vaults. And the condition of building looks really off, it look too much cartoony for my taste, sure color is a good thing but when every buildin looks like max 100years old, it doesent feel like fallout. there is woodframed structures and food lying around after nuclear winter and fewhundred years of fallout and radiation. But i know i will get the game at some point and there will be moments im gonna enjoy like wondering in the wasteland and looting stuff. But i think the story will suck, and the tone of the game wont be fallout.
