Is Area Manager Even Worth It?

Yeah, same. Funny thing is I heard all the horror stories about the bar raiser, so I particularly psyched myself up that interview. The questions were what I expected (tell me about a situation when you had to deal with someone who was under-performing? Tell me about a situation when you had a disagreement with peer on the solution to a problem - something like that) so I was ready for that. The only thing I can think of is one of the interviewers asked why I made decision (setting a certain limit when piloting an improvement that could save money - I had all the numbers and figures ready) and I said that it be easier to sell to upper management with a lower target then a higher target and it would give me a safety factor if it didn't work. I didn't say exactly why I choose that value and it was kind of vague.... I'm just bitching at this, haha.
