Why aren’t the Allies viewed as negatively as the Axis?

I genuinely believe that Imperial Japan was infinitely more sadistic than Nazi Germany and probably the most vile component of the axis, this is not to suggest that Nazi Germany was good in any way but I am sick of both historians and Japan itself portraying Japan as a victim of the Axis that was somehow manipulated by the Nazi's.

Japan joined the Axis willingly and did things that even the highest ranking Nazi officials were disturbed by, additionally, modern Japan has a huge problem with neo-conservatives who want to go back to the ''glory days'' of Japan, these ideologies are popular among many older Japanese citizens and the lack of proper WWII education in Japanese schools has made young Japanese people clueless to fight against it.
