Why arent we defending ne neutrality?

Here's a decent article outlining arguments against net neutrality. At the end of the day though, it's the same old song and dance we see with most other issues.

Using largely unfounded fears of private companies "Give them more freedom from the government and they'll totally charge you outrageously, throttle you, restrict you!" to support ever-growing government powers and control. With a bigger government, you'll see both bigger taxes and a less free, less efficient market.

So I'm going to go ahead and support less government control. People aren't dying or being hurt. If a couple mass shootings didn't stop me from supporting the right to own/sell guns, do you think Democrats insisting that the evil boogeyman Comcast will charge me an extra $30 per month is going to do the trick? Get real.
