I defend this show a lot, but the one thing I cannot defend is the Oliver and Felicity relationship. Apart from it not being canon, the fact of the matter is that they just don't make a good couple. They have no chemistry and when they get intimate it's just gross.

What really kills me is that the show built up sooo much goodwill with the great season 5, and bringing Deathstroke back for season 6. Then they completely tarnished that goodwill by having Oliver and Felicity get together again for some fucking reason.

But I can look past it. The problem is that so many people can't. Even though I defend this show, I admit that it has gone kind of downhill. It's gone a little downhill, but that's not why r/arrow changed into a Punisher subreddit. The level of insane hatred the show's getting right now is entirely due to the Oliver and Felicity relationship. And that sucks. This season really has been pretty good so far, minus a few blunders.
