So why don't the actors come out & say that they want to move on? A few months ago someone told me the real reason Supergirl is ending.. ratings dropped a bit (not the main reason) & since Melissa was totally committed to the role once scripting & filming started since season 1. She apparently (before her pregnancy) she got "tired" of traveling to Canada for 3-5 months every year and she wanted to see what other roles are out there. Why didn't she just come out & say it? People respect honesty.

The only reason Caity Lotz is still on Legends is the same reason Jes is: they're single, good looking & have no interest in guys. She'll be 35 this year & Jes will be 40 (divorced in 2017).. all they have is time. When someone like that has a lead role for going on 7 seasons now, they wouldn't want to give that up unless something bad happens.

Melissa just decided to end the show because she figured it was the "better move" instead of trying to raise the ratings up again & hire a new Kara. Honestly that was a dick move.
