Bought a Rotring rapid pro (RRP) a couple years back after trying out both Staedtler (925 35-09) and Pentel (PG 1009) and not being completely satisfied. At 30 bucks I thought there was no way a pencil could be worth THAT much but as soon as I used the RRP I immediately fell in love with the metal build and weight of the pencil in my hand.

Recently I had an issue where the pencil sharpener included in the cap would not sharpen the lead to my satisfaction. A simple email to Rotring customer support and a few days later I have a brand new RRP! So they may be expensive up front but I have definitely got my fair use out of the first I bought AND I was able to replace it with near zero hassle!

Rotring is a great brand and I recommend it to anyone looking to up their pencil/pen game!
