Ascendance of a Bookworm Director: All 26 Episodes Are Ready to Air

Given that the threads for Bookworm on Jnovel run to well over >1.5k posts dissecting the setting and events should give those reading this just an idea of just how detailed and well written the series is.

Seemingly minor events single sentences hint at future revelations. For example, character A will give out about character B's unrepentant actions for an entire arc and arrange a meeting. Meeting is never shown. Three volumes later character C mentions something similar to character B in passing about that action only to have character B cough, silently accept the criticism and quickly change the subject. It's that level of detail.

The series is more like a solvable mystery series than anything.

While the anime is good it simply isn't possible to hold a candle to how detailed the LN is. One of the biggest losses is how Myne's internal monologue reveals her to be far more manipulative and ruthless than she comes across in the anime. For example, Myne's honest and friendly request to Fran for his help so as not to disappoint the Head Priest/Blue Haired Priest is entirely per-mediated as she worked out how to manipulate Fran after seeing his interactions with the Head Priest/Blue Haired Priest shortly before it.

Some of the later scenes will come as a surprise since this detail is missing.

Poor jnovel translator working on Bookworm makes jokes about how they start sweating whenever people quote specific lines.
