Ashamed to be addicted

I don’t think we have anything like that in Australia unfortunately. I’ve banned myself from a few but haven’t made the effort to ban myself from every which I should definitely do.

Luckily I’m not into betting on other sports which does make it more enjoyable like you said. I think the reason for that is horse racing is instant money. You can win money in minutes instead of a longer period of time.

Horse racing brings me back because of the variables and knowledge involved I find so intriguing. Tracks, tempo, weights, jockeys, owners, form, price fluctuations, patterns etc.

You also become emotionally attached to the horses. As a sport it’s a great spectacle and I do enjoy following it and watching it but it’s too financially and emotionally unhealthy
