Ashes of Creation - New Alpha 1 Gameplay Footage (100 vs 100 Castle Sieges, Action Combat, Horde Mode)

Publishers are intrepid studios, a fairly new mmo studio. They are self funded and also did an early access thingy that gets people access to alphas, betas, skins, mount skins, blah blah. Their game will be subscription based with no buy price, and they have stated on multiple occasions that they will never go p2w in any way. The staff are gamers who were sick of all the p2w in mmos and decided to make their own mmo. The footage you see here is a year after they announced the game (You can look at older footage to see how this compares over time)

Frankly, I follow this in the hopes that the studio will stay true to what they say, but after so many mmos making these same promises in their own way, I refuse to trust any studio. Whenever I see them releasing all these skins, I just see it as them inching closer to breaking their promises. (The same way I saw it with bdo, destiny, and many other games over time) I can only hope, I suppose, but I wont hope so much that I'll feel the same sadness I felt with other games in the past.

Anyway, I dont mean to make anyone else feel as though they shouldn't be hyped for this game, and you're all your own people. I'm just addressing any hopes and concerns anyone may have with this studio. |:
