As someone of partial Middle Eastern descent that grew up in a muslim majority country and was traumatised by it to the extent that I don’t prescribe to any religion anymore, I agree with everything that /u/lakapoipoi has said.

The hate that these users are spewing against all muslims is going to affect everyone coming from muslim majority countries regardless of whether we support/ practice islam or not. Gay muslims have already received enough hate coming from their own communities to also receive hatred for their religious beliefs on this sub.

Some users that OP talks about have argued against multiculturalism and posted about supporting the burning of holy books by the extreme right in Sweden. Speaking from personal experience, these groups can be as homophobic as some muslim communities if not even more.
