Since this is an academic environment I'm going to correct you and say that classes don't use functions, they use methods

every definition of a method ive read have "sub process" or "function" in the definition. its a function defined in/by the class.

which means that they aren't necessarily sequential elements in memory, they do not have a fixed size

arrays are not always immutable like tupples are source

the semantics are not nearly as important as the concepts im trying to get across. you're just going to confuse poor u/RawStanky

why though? ..theres no difference in the concepts here. an array is a list of things. it can be mutable or immutable depending on the language. the functions are close enough to be considered equivalent.
