The gameplay between dungeons and shrines and virtually the same-- solve a puzzle, move onto the next room.
You're missing:
-multiple rooms connected from multiple directions
-keys
-mechanics advancing over the course of the game
-puzzles designed to make use of specific items obtained in the dungeon themselves, making earlier areas with previously inaccessible spots or doors accessible after completing part of the dungeon
-mini bosses
-bosses
-enemies in fucking general
-varied theming and visuals
-plot
A dungeon is not "do a puzzle go to next room". There's significantly more to it. BOTW does not have proper dungeons. Shrines are not dungeons.
