I've always been able to dissociate it from life as you seem to, it's generally just the nutcases that take it too seriously and start applying that logic to life, as for age, it's only gotten easier as the years have gone by what with the internet straight up throwing it in your face

Though personally I find the area in general a little tasteless, given my lack of sexual attraction, but it's perfectly fine to enjoy it if you like it and of course it's easier to satisfy yourself flying solo, most people feel that way

All in all, you can settle your private affairs however you want, that's why they're private, and you shouldn't need to feel selfconscious about it, but yeah, pretty normal all around
