Assessing oneself #1

I never challenge another person's self-assessment of their personality type, but I've never heard another INFP be so unable to fathom that many people don't respond well to their possessions being criticized and nit-picked.

I’m not going to argue about that bcs by doing so it’s like asking whether I’m real or not. I do believe I’m INFP as I read towards the functions but I also believe there’re also times when I take my other functions (either E/S/T/J) into actions and this might be one of it.

You argue that people should not take criticism toward belongings personally. But people do. Most people.

Now, this’s why I said I don’t get it. Most people (and I believe you do to) agreed that ‘your belongings doesn’t define you’ so you shouldn’t judge ppl based on your belongings. Then, why take criticism towards your belongings as personal if it doesn’t define you?

As to the rest of your reply, I agree with it but I don’t discuss towards emotional vs logic but more of ‘why you let people’s criticism gets you when what they criticize about is your belongings not your own self?’

So you're the one less in touch with social and emotional reality than is your sister.

Well, that is a bit too judgmental isn’t? Trying to conclude me being abnormal (less in touch with social and emotinal reality) from one post is a bit too much. It also conflicts towards INFPs personality as we use Perspective not Judgmental.
