I know it’s not the exact same situation but customers should not be able to fucking rate you if they’re unresponsive after you call them and wait out the timer.

I had a customer try to pull this on a “hand it to me” order after ordering to a business address for a cement factory with no instructions whatsoever, then not responding for the entire timer plus a few minutes. So I left the delivery at the front door - aka the specified delivery address, took a picture, and left to do my second batched delivery.

This fucking dude starts messaging me telling me to come back and take it somewhere else after I already left and said he would report me otherwise. I didn’t reply and got a one star. Support said it wouldn’t count but it did, and I’ve appealed and still had it stand.

Fucking ridiculous because now I can’t get priority orders until I get 8 more 5-star ratings. My orders are now noticeably worse because of this fucking no tip guy that somehow was still able to rate me on a delivery he just was unresponsive for through the whole timer and failed to meet me for after requesting it be handed to him.

Fuck DoorDash. I’ve been mostly doing UberEats since then.
