The Asshole of Ihyll-BL4

So runes - 5 & 10% clockwise, 20% anti-clockwise and hunter. Gems - I've a 23.1% Physicals farmed from the Bone Ash hunter in Isz and on 27.2% farmed from the Watchers in Isz 5pwujscd - getting these really sucks but for me was required as the cane does such poor damage. I've already done a standard all bosses/chalices/DLC BL4 run but thought I'd make it a bit tougher by making a dapper gent and using the cane. The Descendant (along with the LDB) are without a doubt the worst bosses in the chalices. The trick with Descendant is to stay just outside his swipe range and bait certain attacks. I try to keep him in the central passage and use the lanterns as a mental marker to know when I'm nearing either end. Then I try and steer him round the pillar so that I've got space to move again. With the parries, you have a bit of leeway on the move that starts with a pause but the running swipe and fast swipe have to be exact. When he does the fast one, if you watch I back up slightly before firing for the second swipe. I try to maintain a similar distance for phase 2 but its hard as he's so aggressive. I visceral him after getting backstab just to get him out of my face and give me little time to prepare. He's pretty much guaranteed to do the double toss soon after entering this phase. The way to dodge this is forward into the blade once then again diagonally towards his left side. Its tough to master and took me a while. If he gets stuck behind a pillar you know's gonna throw or do the big jump. Other than that, I only parry the attacks you see in the vid. Blood pellets are really good esp if you use the cleaver. You can parry him L1 R1 to get meter moving and the damage is great. The idea is to get the meter as full as possible before he does the split then backstab and charge attack him. You can get a good chunk off his health off like that. Good luck - he truly is an asshole.
