To the Assholes who stole my Occulus Quest This afternoon.

Hello OP.

I might be in a position to help you out here, but I would ask for some information first, because I hate to say it but your story sounds a little sketchy.

Are you able to provide the following information:

- Police report/Case # - some sort of information from the investigating officers, so that the report itself can be independently confirmed?
- A copy of the receipt from BestBuy; if the receipt itself was lost, don't worry! You'll be able to have them re-print it, I'm sure they'll remember you and be able to help you out.
- Serial number from the Oculus Quest - this would be on the receipt itself if you don't have it anywhere else.

I understand that you are saying you paid in cash, so there wouldn't be a transaction record with your bank, but anything else supporting the purchase itself would be invaluable.

I don't mean to suggest that you're a liar, OP, but if people are willing to walk up and assault someone to get an expensive piece of electronics equipment, I think we can all agree that a person wouldn't be above trying to scam one online, too.
