There are a lot of AA meetings in the neighborhood. He would pretty easily find similar people. You can find meetings here. From what I'm told the daily meeting at noon at a church at 30-14 Crescent could be up his alley. He may need to go away to rehab though? Who can say?

If he agrees to go away then I'd recommend Long Island Center for Recovery (LICR) in Hampton Bays. My EAP recommended it and the place was excellent. The distance isn't a big deal either because no matter where they go you won't be visiting very much.
