I don't think you can tell if its HSV2 genitals or oral, coz you don't have any outbreak...yet. The virus in your body is either still dormant or any ulcers you have had, seems like any normal ulcers or your test result could be a false positive.

But if it's a IGG test, highly unlikely it is a false positive. You may try to get it tested again. In the mean time, I guess you could live your life as normal as possible as Herpes is really not life threatening. Doctors even mentioned aif they pull in any Tom Dick Harry frok the street and get them tested, a high percentage of them would be Herpes positivie. For now, you should live as if your genitals or mouth has covid and needs to mask up (use condoms) & avoid kissing whenever you have sex.

A cure could possibly be round the corner in 5-10 years time. So don't worry too much. If it's any good, just be thankful you don't have HIV/AIDs.
