Ataraxia: A Different Pursuit of Happiness

I would love to hear what the best counter-arguments people have come across or had for this formulation of happiness. It discusses how the pursuit of ataraxia can subtly change one's goals and desires in life, and thus lead one to more satisfaction (hopefully). It also briefly looks at how the epicureans saw and divided pleasure between mental/physical and katastemic and kinetic, and how those overlap. The main thrust and argument of this video is that pursuing of ataraxia rather than the pursuit of happiness (as conventionally understood) is a much more reliable means by which to gain satisfaction for oneself.
